On September 27, 2005, Dick and Lois Haskayne were pleased to announce their centennial gift of a total $1,000,000 over the next ten years to support community projects and student awards for the communities of Gleichen, Cluny, and Bassano. The first awards were made in March, 2006. The program is now closed.
